How to Set Up the Discord Bot

Setting up a Discord bot is a straightforward process that requires a few simple steps. In this guide, we'll walk you through the process of inviting the bot to your server and configuring its settings using the /setup command.

Step 1: Invite the Bot

The first step is to invite the bot to your server. To do this, you'll need to click on the following invite link: https://discord.com/api/oauth2/authorize?client_id=1063766598197981215&permissions=2197412118359&scope=bot%20applications.commands.

Once you've clicked on the link, you'll be prompted to choose the server where you want to invite the bot. Make sure to select the correct server, and then click on the "Authorize" button to confirm the invitation.

Step 2: Run the /setup Command

After inviting the bot to your server, the next step is to configure its settings using the /setup command. To run this command, type "/setup" in any text channel where the bot has access, followed by the required arguments.

Required Arguments:

  • steam_verification: This argument is currently not implemented, so you can leave it on False.
  • log_channel: This argument specifies the channel where the bot will post its logs. Where "#channel" is the name of the channel where you want the logs to appear.
  • verify_role: This argument is currently not implemented, so you can leave it blank.

Step 3 (Optional): Run the /setup_custom_channels Command

  • This command allows you to set up custom voice channels for your server. To use this command, type "/setup_custom_channels" in any text channel where the bot has access, followed by the required arguments.
  • Required Arguments:

    • temporary_voice_channel: This argument specifies the name of the temporary voice channel that the bot will create when someone joins a new temporary voice channel.
    • permanent_voice_channel: This argument specifies the name of the permanent voice channel that the bot will create when someone joins a new permanent voice channel.

By following these steps, you should be able to set up the Discord bot and configure its settings according to your preferences. If you encounter any issues during the setup process, make sure to check the bot's documentation or contact the bot's developers for assistance.
